Hà Thu Thanh
Chairperson of VIOD and Deloitte Vietnam

Madam Thanh has recently been appointed as Chairperson of VIOD’s Board. She is also serving as Chairperson of Deloitte Vietnam, one of the four largest Consulting Firms in the world – with 35 years of experience in the field of Audit and Advisory, including 28 years working for the company since its establishment.

With 20 years in the top leadership at Deloitte Vietnam, including 16 years as a Chairman cum CEO, she is a leading expert in Corporate Governance, Leadership Development, Accounting - Auditing, etc.

She has been serving as a senior advisor/coach for the Board of Directors (BOD) of many large corporations in Vietnam and a speaker at many prestigious forums regarding corporate governance, leadership, sustainable growth, etc.

Madam Thanh holds a B.Sc. in Finance and Accounting, a Bachelor of Law, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hawaii, USA, a Certified Public Accountant in Vietnam and Australia, and a Certificate in Legal Practice. She was ranked one of the “20 most influential women in Vietnam” by Forbes and awarded the “Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Award” by Enterprise Asia in 2017.

Dominic Scriven OBE
Vice-Chairperson of VIOD & Executive Chairman of Dragon Capital Group

Mr. Scriven is the Executive Chairman of Dragon Capital Group. Before founding the company in 1994, he worked in financial markets in London and Hong Kong. He serves as a director of various Vietnamese public companies and actively promotes financial market development and governance.

A U.K. national fluent in Vietnamese, Mr. Scriven received an OBE from Queen Elizabeth in 2006 and was awarded the Labor Medal by the Vietnamese President in 2014. He graduated from Exeter University with a degree in Law and Sociology and studied at Hanoi University for two years.

Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Dung is the Chairperson of Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company. She was honored by Forbes Asia in the list of 20 Most Influential Women in Asia and twice in a row honored by Forbes Vietnam in the list of 50 Most Influential Women in Vietnam. She was honored by Anphabe with the Asia HRD Award in the ranking of "Contribution to Organization". CSRWorks International also honored her in the list of Women in Sustainable Development in Asia.

Đinh Thị Quỳnh Vân
Director of VIOD & General Director and Partner of PwC Vietnam

Mrs. Van joined PwC Vietnam in 1995 and became the firm’s General Director in 2011. She is actively involved in advising multinational corporations and Vietnamese companies on strategy, corporate restructuring, and other corporate governance matters. She works closely with the business community to promote good corporate governance standards and sustainable development. Ms. Van is a regular speaker at conferences held in Vietnam and other countries such as Denmark, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and Thailand. Her expertise includes investment and the business environment in Vietnam, corporate governance and listing issues. She holds a MBA from Henley Management College, United Kingdom and a Diploma of Economics from University of Halle, Germany.

Vũ Quang Thịnh
Director of VIOD & CEO of Dynam Capital

Before joining Dynam Capital, Mr. Thinh is the CEO and Vice Chairman of Vietnam Holding Asset Management (VNHAM) as well as the Chairman of its Environmental, Social and Governance Committee. He has more than 25 years of experience in asset management and management consulting. Before joining VNHAM, he was the CEO of a local asset management company and the Managing Partner of MCG Management Consulting. Prior to that, he headed the management consulting practice of KPMG Vietnam. 

Mr. Thinh has been serving on the boards of several listed and private companies in Vietnam. He is a visiting lecturer of executive training programs organized by Vietnam National University Hanoi School of Business, FPT University School of Business, and PACE Institute of Management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical Economics from Hanoi Economics University and an MBA from Washington State University.

Trần Trọng Kiên
Director of VIOD & Chairman and CEO of Thien Minh Group (TMG)

Tran Trong Kien has been known as a pioneer in adventure tours in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. He ran local tours to fund his medical studies before founding Buffalo Tours in 1994. Over the last twenty four years of establishment and development, Kien has led his business to become one of the leading travel and hospitality groups in the ASPAC. Kien is also a member of several professional and social organizations, including chairman of Vietnam Tourism Advisory Board (TAB), Hue Tourism Advisory Board (HTAB), Vietnam Tour Guides Association (VTGA), Trustee of Fulbright University Vietnam, Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA), Independent Director of Vinaland, and ex-independent board member of Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) and VP Bank.

Phan Đức Hiếu
Standing Member of Economic Committee of National Assembly - Senior Advisory Board of VIOD

Hieu received his Master of Law from the University of Maastrichts, Netherlands in 2004. As an analyst and policy-maker, he contributed to the success of the Government's project on administrative reform via his role as the head of the Investment Policy Review Group. He has been working extensively with the World Bank Group on corporate governance and other government reform area and is being a popular trainer/speaker on corporate governance topics. Currently, he is a member of the Vietnam Corporate Governance Initiative’s Council.

He is the principal author of the Enterprise Law 2014 known as the largest reform law on business freedom. He has extensive experience in policy-making tools such as RIA and Standard Cost Measurement (SCM).

PHilippe Moschetta
AACSB Bridge Program, ESSEC M Law, INSEAD MBA, CPA (US) CFA, IDP-C

Philippe Moschetta is a Professor of Practice in Finance and Risk (AACSB Bridge Program). He has extensive experience as a Board and Advisory Board member from VC-funded to large holding companies with investments in excess of $10billion. He has been a corporate officer for 37 years. In the last seven, he was the Group CFO and CRO of Al Muhaidib group, one of the ten largest diversified family groups based in Saudi Arabia. He has worked mostly in Fortune 500 companies (Emerson, Stanley Tools, Rockwell, Becton Dickinson) but also in a start-up. Previous roles included Finance Director, VP Finance and CFO from organizations between $100 to $5B revenue. He has operated and lived in different countries and continents, in particular, Ivory Coast, France, Belgium, Ireland, and the UK. He is a graduate of ESSEC Business School, obtained an MBA from INSEAD and a Master in Law in Paris. He is also a US CPA and CFA charter holder. He is recently certified by the International Director Program at INSEAD.

Nguyễn Thu Hiền
Director in-charge, VIOD Academic Advisory Council - VNU-HCM, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - ASEAN Corporate Governance Expert

Dr. Hien Thu Nguyen is a member of the Corporate Governance Evaluation Committee of the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard Project, an initiative of the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) since 2012, upon supports by ADB and IFC. She is a member of the preliminary assessment council of the Vietnam Listed Company Awards 2018. She has executed Vietnam Corporate Governance Scorecard projects by the IFC-SSC-GCGF in the years 2010-2012.

She held the position of Vice Dean of the School of Industrial Management, University of Technology, VNU-HCM from 2009 to 2013, and is currently the Managing Director of Maastricht MBA Program in Vietnam since 2012. She has accumulated consulting, research, executive-training experiences for executives and corporate board members in corporate finance, corporate governance, and merger and acquisitions.

She got Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Economics – HCM City; an MBA from the Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand); and a Ph.D. in Finance from Old Dominion University (USA). She completed the Director Certification Program Class 183/2013 (AEC) by Thai IOD.

Member of VIOD Academic Advisory Council - Scientific Director of Solvay Brussels School Vietnam

Having long working experience in multinational companies, such as UBS AG, Credit Suisse, Trisa AG, and Holcim Ltd, but also as entrepreneur, such as co-founder of a leading packaging company in Vietnam, managing director of PAT Industrial Park. He was also a strategy consultant for many companies in Vietnam, such as Holcim Vietnam Ltd, Viet-A Bank, PAT Industrial Park, Thien Y Packaging, Fideco JSC. Dr. Dinh has also spent several years in the field of education as Professor at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland for Strategy, International Management. Dr. Dinh was also a lecturer for Change Management in a Swiss program “Train-The-Trainers” for senior government officials in Beijing and Founder of a successful Swiss Master’s Program with a focus on Finance and Banking in Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, Dr. Dinh is acting as Scientific Director of Solvay Brussels School Vietnam and is lecturer for Corporate Strategy/Corporate Governance. In research, Dr. Dinh is Portfolio-Partner of International Center for Corporate Governance at the University St. Gallen and is author as well as translator for several books in the field of strategy and corporate governance. Dr. Dinh has received his Ph.D. of Economics from University of St. Gallen, and master’s degree in Management from University of Fribourg, Switzerland.

Phan Lê Thành Long
CEO of VIOD, Founder and Director of AFA Research & Education

Having completed a Master's program at Monash University (Australia), with 20 years of experience at large investment funds, auditing and consulting firms, Mr. Long is considered a leading expert in the field of investment and finance, business administration and auditing in Vietnam. Mr. Long is currently the founding chairman of the Vietnam Wealth Advisors (VWA).

Mr. Long is the Director of the Australian Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA Australia) in Vietnam. He also is the Consulting Director of business strategy, finance as well as management and control systems for large corporations such as Vingroup, Bitexco, Viettel, EVN, etc.; banks and financial institutions such as MBB, BIDV, Vietinbank, Vietnam Development Bank, CoopBank; DIV, CIC…; and projects funded by WB, ADB, AFD, JICA.

In training, Mr. Long is an expert lecturer in financial and business analysis and management programs, methods of detecting fraud in financial statements (Behind the Numbers), internal control, audit and corporate governance for the public and organisations such as the State Securities Commission (SSC), HOSE, VIOD; banks such as MBB, Vietinbank, Vietcombank, ANZ, Standard Chartered Bank, VPBank, Techcombank, etc.; securities companies such as SSI, HSC, VnDirect, TVSI, KBS, TVB, CTS,…; corporations and listed companies such as Viettel, Vingroup, Bitexco, PVEP, VIG, VGC, etc. He has provided direct training for more than 10,000 individuals.

Mr. Long is one of the individuals who received the certificate of merit from the Minister of Finance for his contribution to the development of the audit industry in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the independent audit industry (1991-2011).
